Peter Miller

Queensland based finger-style guitarist Peter Miller is known in Australia and Europe for his delicate touch and melodic style of playing. Peter has toured Ireland and Europe on numerous occasions where he has shared the stage with Legendary song writer John Spillane, piper Eoin Duignan, Stephen Housden and many more.

His Songs Without Words album received rave reviews and featured guest musicians including: Flautist Sarah Calderwood from Australian Celtic band Sunas and fiddle Maestro Steve Wickham of The Waterboys. To date Peter has released 6 full length Albums and 6 singles including a cover of the famous melody ‘The Derry Air’ (Danny Boy).

Peter has won both Australian Celtic Artist of the year, Australian Celtic Instrumental of the year and an award for being on the best compilation album at the Hawaiian Big Island music awards.

2019 was a busy year in the studio for Peter Miller, releasing two new albums Simplicity (a selection of new recordings) and Passages which is a selection of both new and previously unreleased tracks from as far back as 2006.

His music has appeared world-wide on Film and Television including Cult UK show ‘Skins’ and the Shania Twain documentary ‘Why Not’ made by the Oprah Winfrey Network. Peter is a regular on the South East QLD music scene playing venues and bars throughout the region. His playing has a tasteful use of space, without being underplayed. His live performances have been well received over the years. Most of his playing style is of a Celtic and folk mix. Australian Festival highlights include Cygent Folk Festival, Illawarra festival, Guitars in Bars (Adelaide International Guitar fringe festival) and both the Australian and National Celtic music festivals.
